Mercedes Benz, the Germany based leading luxury car maker, is all set to display its E Class four door hybrid model at the next month’s Detroit Auto Show. The new E Class Hybrid model will be showcased in two variants including E400 hybrid and E300 BlueTEC Hybrid.
The E300 BlueTEC model is lower powered model among these two variants that carries a 2.1 liter 4 cylinder engine. The highly efficient engine of the car is capable of delivering a peak power of 201 hp along with a peak power of 201 hp along with a peak torque of 369 lb/ft. While the fuel economy of the car 67.3 mpg, it takes only 7.5 seconds to break the speed barrier of 60 miles per hour.
As per the recent media reports, the Mercedes Benz E400 model will be carrying a 3.5 liter V6 engine at its heart, which will be capable of delivering a peak power of 302 hp along with top torque of 273 Nm. The engine of the car will come joined with an electric motor that will deliver a peak power of 27 hp and maximum torque of 184 lb/ft. The new hybrid E Class model takes just 6.4 seconds to break the speed barrier of 60 miles per hour. With a top speed of 130 miles per hour, the car has efficiency of 32.4 mpg.
