Mercedes-Benz, the well established German auto maker, is planning to introduce an illuminated logo of the three-pointed star in its few flagship models. It must be noted that the star moniker of the company either sits on the bonnet or is embedded on the front grille for several generations of the Mercedes-Benz's models and happens to be a sign of reputation for its owners. Industry experts believe that the plan of Mercedes-Benz of illuminating its logo will gather immense appreciation from the auto enthusiasts all over the world.
Sources close to the development process have stated that the auto maker will fit top quality light tubes and LED lights behind its logo, in order to illuminate the three-pointed star. However, it is yet not clarified by the auto maker that whether the illumination will be manually controlled or will work with respect to the ignition. It may also happen that the logo illuminates as the doors of the model are opened; however nothing is confirmed as of now. Interestingly, this plan is executed by the authorised dealers of the German car maker and is being implemented in a number of models like M-Class, GL-Class and E-Class.
The illuminated logo of Mercedes-Benz is expected to soon come equipped within other models of the auto maker as well, in a due course of time. It is also believed that the company will start offering its illuminated logo as a part of standard feature in near future. However, nothing is confirmed for the Indian market as none of the company officials have commented on the same.
