The ongoing strike at the Maruti’s Manesar plant entered into its 14th day on Thursday with expectations of an early settlement between management and striking labors. The talks between management and workers have been going on since the Monday morning, and so far there have been a number of rounds of talks. The negotiations between both sections have been brokered by the state government of Haryana, in a bid to save the state’s industry hub image.

In a statement given on Thursday, a Maruti Suzuki spokesman said, "The tripartite negotiation is still going on since 11 am yesterday."

The talks remained inconclusive on the initial two days, followed by expectations of a resolution to the problem after Wednesday talks. According to a statement given by MSI Chairman R C Bhargava, the firm is hoping to reach a settlement with the workers in next 4 to 5 days. He added, "We have been talking to them for the last three days. We keep talking as a solution to these things takes some time. I cannot say when, but only I can hope that the issues will be solved in the next 4-5 days."

Meanwhile, the company has said that it will continue with the partial productions at its plants till the strike ends. On Wednesday, Maruti Suzuki has rolled-out 200 cars from its Manesar plant.
