Seeing the growing competition, Maruti Suzuki is aiming to launch a series of new products in the Indian car market. Alongside launching new cars, the country’s largest carmaker is refreshing its entire lineup. The company has recently launched the updated Swift hatchback, and will launch the new Alto K10 in the first week of November. The long-waiting Swift Dzire facelift is also expected to go on sale by the end of this year.

Ahead of its official launch in coming months, new details about the Dzire facelift have been revealed on the interweb. The vehicle gets comprehensive makeover to its front fascia; however, it largely resembles the current model. The front gets large chrome grille, flanked by sweptback headlamps with dark tint, new bumper with redesigned air dam and chrome enclosure for fog lamp assembly.

The side profile of the compact sedan gets new 10-spoke alloy wheels and keyless access button on the door handle. The rear end gets subtle tweaks to both bumpers and tail lamps. Inside the cabin, the vehicle sees some minor tweaks to seat upholstery and dashboard. It has new music system with Bluetooth compatibility, multi-functional steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth Telephony controls mounted on it, electrically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors, i-Key entry with Push button start, etc.

It will continue to be offered with the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel units. Like the hatchback sibling, the updated Dzire is expected to go more fuel efficient.
