      Maruti Suzuki SX4 takes a backseat to welcome the upcoming Ciaz

      Maruti Suzuki's SX4 has been a strong runner in the masculine sedan segment in the country. The SX4 sedan has always been known for its ample boot and cabin space. The car sported a bigger and aggressive stance in comparison to other cars in its segment. Apart from regular petrol and diesel variants, SX4 from Maruti Suzuki is also available in a CNG variant. The sedan is powered by 1.6 Liter engine that generates about 105 Ps of power with 145 Nm of torque. As per ARAI test result the powerful sedan delivers about 22 kmpl. The powerful engine is mated to a 5 speed gear box.

      As per a recent update from sources , Maruti Suzuki has stopped production for its popular SX4 sedan. Reportedly, this decision has been made to welcome the much awaited Ciaz in the Indian market. Pricing for the Ciaz sedan is unknown for now but the vehicle is expected to be launched at a hypothetical starting price tag of about Rs. 7.0 lakhs. The Ciaz will enter the Indian automobile market loaded with a 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engine that is also found under the Ertiga's hood, along with a 1.6-litre diesel engine, which will most probably be supplied by Fiat. The engine is expected to be mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Maruti Ciaz may also get an AMT variant.

      Ciaz sedan may also come loaded with ABS and EBD technology. Apart from this the vehicle may also get infotainment system with Bluetooth, AC with climate control, cooled glove box, steering mounted audio controls in the interiors. The Ciaz sedan is stated to be based on all-new design philosophy and it is reported that designing cues have been utilized from the ‘Authentics Concept’.
