Maruti Suzuki recently announced that they are undertaking a 'service campaign' to inspect a suspected fault and if required also replace a brake part. This applies to 20,427 units of the S-Cross manufactured between April 20, 2015 to February 12, 2016.

Both the DDiS 200 (1.3-litre diesel) and the DDiS 320 (1.6-litre diesel) variants are a part of this recall. The carmaker suspects that the faulty components could have brake fluid seepage and will be inspected and if need be also replaced. The replacement will be done free of cost for the customer.

All S-Cross owners can check if their vehicle is part of this recall by logging on towww.nexaexperience.com. They can confirm if their vehicle is affected by filling their vehicle's 14-digit chassis number. They can also get in touch with their Nexa dealer to check for the same.

Maruti Suzuki will inform the concerned consumers through Nexa dealers for recalling these specific vehicles. Dealers will then contact the owners to make the necessary changes and replacements. Such recalls are a good measure taken by manufacturers themselves to keep a check on the safety of passengers from time to time.
