Maruti Suzuki launches Limited Edition Ertiga at Rs. 6.75 Lakhs

The Ertiga MUV from Maruti Suzuki has been a strong contender in its segment. To mark a special feat post achieving the 1,50,000 unit sales milestone, Maruti Suzuki has launched the limited edition variants of Ertiga at a starting price tag of about 6.75 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). The seven seater MUV from India's largest car-maker comes with flexi seating option that has been ergonomically designed for maximum comfort.

The Limited edition Ertiga would be launched in Petrol, Diesel and CNG variants. The CNG version is stated to be priced at about Rs. 7.34 Lakhs. Whereas the Petrol and Diesel version are stated to be priced at about Rs. 6.75 Lakhs, and Rs. 8.05 Lakhs respectively. Statement released by the company states, “This is in line with the company's vision to offer product differentiation to customers who aspire for features over and above the product strengths of high fuel efficiency, interior comfort, ease of driving and flexi seating.”

Technical specifications are expected to remain the same as the existing version. The petrol version shall be continued to be powered by 1373 cc K-Series Petrol VVT engine that generates about 95 Ps of power with 130 Nm of torque. Whereas, the diesel version is stated to be powered by 1248 cc DDiS Diesel engine that generates about 90 Ps of power with 200 Nm of torque. The CNG variant is powered by 1373 cc K-Series Petrol VVT engine that generates about 82 Ps of power with 110 Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki has payed much attention to the safety factor with use of high tensile steel that has been positioned strategically at vital sections in the chassis for maximum rigidity and strength. The MPV is loaded with ABS and EBD system for complete control during sudden braking situations. Six of the occupants in the car are secured with 3-point ELR seatbelt, whereas the middle seat in the second row gets a 2-point lap belt. Moreover, the front occupants gets pre-tensioners and force limiters. The front seat passengers also gets SRS Airbags that provide with ample protection in case of a crash.

Ertiga was the fastest to achieve this milestone in B segment. Customers have appreciated the Ertiga for its compact size, contemporary looks, ergonomic design and the flexibility of 5+2 seating.”
