India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki India has silently slipped Ritz limited edition, christened, ‘Ritz Elate’. The regular model is currently up for grabs at a lucrative cash discount of Rs 30,000 and customers can also avail exchange bonus of Rs 35,000. Ritz Elate on the other hand is expected to be pricier by Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 as compared to the standard version.
Ritz Elate has been given minor exterior upgrades along with a string of additional features. A new body kit has been put on offer which includes prominently visible and tawdry coloured graphics. ‘Elate’ logo has been placed on the door panels of the vehicle. Inside the cabin, a number of additional features and tweaks can be spotted like orange coloured seat covers, assistive reverse parking sensor, Buetooth kit, 2-DIN Music System with speakers, black door visors, new chic door mats, ergonomic neck cushioning, durable mud flaps and a new steering wheel cover.
Besides these goodies, MSI is also offering a multi-purpose bag along with the limited edition model. No changes have been made to the engine configuration of the vehicle and the hatchback continues to come powered with a 1.2 litre K-Series VVT petrol engine and a 1.3 litre DDis diesel powertrain. Sale of Ritz has been dimming of late in domestic market and hence this seems to be an effort from the car maker to push sales of Ritz. Positioned beneath MSI’s flagship model, Swift in terms of price, the hatchback from the beginning has had comparatively less takers.
