      Mahindra targets Nine New Vehicles in FY2015 - Starts with XUV500 in Chennai

      Mahindra is due course to launch nine cars in total during the Financial Year 2015-16 that will feature three new cars, three major and three minor facelift variants. The manufacturer has already started the launch marathon with the unveiling of the new XUV500 in Chennai on May 25, 2015. The price tag of this new car was slated at 11.35 lakhs INR (ex-showroom). Among the three new cars, two will be compact SUVs, which has been codenamed S101 and U301. The cars have been spotted being tested several times on the road and spied a couple of times. It is expected that the compact SUVs will be competitively and reasonably priced in the country.

      Mahindra XUV500

      The cars from Mahindra that are expected to witness facelifts at several levels as well as completely new variants are Verito, Thar, Xylo, Bolero and Quanto to name a few. Also, it is expected that an electric variant of the Verito might be launched soon.

      There are several modifications on the XUV500 that include a number of interior as well as exterior upgrades. Also included are some interesting features. The stylish upgrades include a stylish new grille on the front with chrome inserts, new bonnet and bumper, a pair of new static as well as bending projector headlights, S-shaped guides, new alloy wheels, fog lights with chrome bezel, aluminium pedals and icy blue lounge lighting. Also included are new features, which are feature electric sunroof, 6-way power adjustable driver seat, first-in-class logo projection lamps with ORMs, 7” touchscreen infotainment with GPS navigation, push button start/stop, reverse parking camera with dynamic assist and brake energy regeneration system. The new messaging system is an additional boost to the new XUV500.
