      Mahindra sells 6060 units of new Scorpio in first five days after launch

      Taking its rivals by storm, Mahindra’s thoroughly tweaked Scorpio is back in the game with a bang. The SUV has not just outpaced its competition in UV segment but has taken a long leap to number two spot in September 2014 sales. Launched on September 25, 2014, Scorpio facelift got a good start by delivering 6060 units in just five days of its launch. The massive response received by the SUV is a testimony of its humongous popularity in UV segment. On the other hand Bolero continued to acquire top spot with 8541 units sold in the month of September registering rise in sales from 6826 units delivered in August to 8541 units sold in September.

      While Honda Mobilio slipped to number five spot last month straight from the second position in August. In September Honda sold 5392 units of Mobilio which is a tad less than August sales when Honda delivered 5530 unit of UV.

      Unlike August, old player in the segment Maruti Suzuki Ertiga drove past Mobilio at number four spot with 5672 unit sales as compared to 4658 sales in August. On the other hand, Innova maintained number third spot though with slight rise in sales from 5028 units in August to 5876 units in September.
