Mahindra and Mahindra has entered the two-wheeler market segment with the launch of its new model – Mahindra Flyte. It is the new 125 cc automatic scooter that not only sports larger storage space but comes with a brand new feature of front fuelling in automatic scooters. Apart from this, Flyte also has 4-in1 anti-theft key and telescopic suspension for smoother rides.
"The introduction of the Flyte marks the beginning of our two-wheeler foray," said Anoop Mathur, Mahindra's two-wheeler business president. Initially, the two-wheeler will be available at the company's 238 dealerships in tier II and III cities. "We use the design and engineering services of all our affiliates, including the Italy-based Engines Engineering, in all our product development work to give technologically superior products to our consumers," Mathur added.
Mahindra acquired assets of Kinetic Motor Company last year in July. Both the companies have now formed a new Joint venture company – Mahindra Two-Wheelers Pvt. Ltd where M&M holds 80 percent stakes.
