After Lamborghini launched the Huracan Performante at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the brand has now been caught testing their upcoming Huracan Performante Spyder in a heavily disguised form.

Reports state that this convertible may be a more eager performer. The reduced weight from the roof definitely works in its favour despite being powered by the same 630bhp naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 motor that’s currently plugged in the Huracan Performante. There are speculations that this iteration may be able to despatch the 0-100kmph run in under 3.1sec before hitting the 200kmph mark in approximately 9.2sec.

Other than this, the Huracan Performante Spyder is expected to be identical to the regular Performante model. Though details are scanty, sources add that Lamborghini may launch the Huracan Performante Spyder when the Frankfurt Motor Show unfolds later this year in September. We will have more news to share regarding Lamborghini’s much awaited drop-top in the time to come, so stay tuned to CarTrade.
