KODA breaks the cover of Ambition variant in Superb model

ŠKODA Auto India, the wholly owned subsidiary of Czech auto maker ŠKODA Auto, has launched a new base variant of its Superb, Superb Ambition. With the launch of a new entry level sedan, the company has now expanded the accessibility of Superb line up for its customers. Though Ambition is introduced as an entry level version, the company has incorporated world class safety, comfort and efficiency features of Superb in it.

Considering its technical specifications, the company has launched both – petrol as well as diesel versions of Ambition variant in the market. The petrol version of Ambition holds a turbocharged 1.8 litre TSI engine, which is assimilated with in-line liquid cooling system and direct injection technology. This powertrain has a displacement of 1798 cc and can churn out a maximum power of 158 bhp at 4500 – 6200 rpm, whereas it attains a peak torque of 250 Nm at a fairly low 1500 – 4500 rpm. To further improve the performance of this engine, it is assimilated with a six speed fully synchronised manual transmission system that has smooth and easy switching of gears. Along with brilliant emissions, the engine of Superb Ambition also offers a decent mileage of 13.1 kmpl, which is quite accepted in this segment.

On the other hand, the diesel version is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0 litre TDI CR engine, which has high pressure direct injection system and a displacement of 1968 cc. The maximum power generated by this engine ranges around 138 bhp at 4200 rpm, while it churns highest torque at 320 Nm at a fairly low 1750 – 2500 rpm. The engine of this car is mated to a 6 speed DSG automatic transmission with tiptronic manual gear changing system. The performance oriented diesel engine of Superb Ambition is bound to deliver impressive fuel economy, and thus it covers a distance of 17.2 kmpl.

The exterior design of Superb Ambition has numerous advancements that enable the car to mark its presence on roads. The exterior package of Ambition is similar to the Elegance variant, but it flaunts a unique design of alloy wheels. In addition, the interiors of Superb Ambition are incorporated with ivory NAPA leather package with wood decorations, lounge step and retractable screens for rear windows as well as rear windscreen. In order to offer a comfortable drive to its occupants, ŠKODA has incorporated several luxurious features within the car that includes dual zone climatronic function, electronically foldable mirrors and 12 way adjustable front seats.

In previous records, Superb has grabbed six awards in the market band has emerged as the most selling car in its premium sedan segment. However with the launch of a new model, the company will further strengthen its ruling position in its segment. Owing to its unmatched features, ŠKODA Auto India has competitively priced its Ambition in the market. The petrol version of Ambition is offered with a price tag of Rs. 18 lacs, whereas the diesel version is provided in a consideration of Rs. 22.5 lacs (ex-showroom prices of Delhi). On the other hand, the ex-showroom prices of Ambition in Maharashtra are placed at Rs. 17,66,232 for the petrol variant, whereas Rs. 22,07,727 for the diesel engine car.
