The standard F-Type model is expected to come equipped with a supercharged 3.0 V6 engine, which will belt out a maximum power of 335 bhp. Touching a sprint of 100 kmph from initial is claimed in 5.3 seconds by the company officials. Another variant on the cards of Jaguar is S model, which will flaunt a higher output of 375 bhp. This model will smoothly glide from 0-100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds. It must be noted that the styling of F-type has been inspired mainly from the C-X16 concept. Expressing his views on the design of the upcoming model, the famous Jag designer Ian Callum admits that “I was tempted by it, but you have to let things go.”

The exterior designing of the F-Type features a pair of ‘shark gill’ openings, which provides it a rear view mirror recognition. The rear LED lights of the model are neatly wrapped around the wings and there has been diffuser integrated in the exhaust pipes. Interestingly, a hidden spoiler pops up from the rear end if the car has been moving at speed of over 90 kmph, and goes down if the speed clocks below 60 kmph.

Coming to the interiors of the model, the designing has been made by keeping the comforts of driver in mind. The upcoming F-Type is equipped with well-executed switches and buttons, which goes with the new technology. Hey highlights of the model include a thick rimmed small steering wheel and gear shift selector instead of Jaguar’s much familiar rotary dial. Post launch, the 2013 F-Type is expected to deliver a stiff competition to Porsche 911 and Lamborghini Gallardo, amid others.
