Renault has been a key player in international market. In the Indian automotive sector Renault made its position in the competitive market with the Duster compact SUV. In the international market, Renault's finance wing named Renault Credit International has reportedly generated over €200 million in finance that was lent to 12,000 Irish motorists.
In Ireland, Renault finance operates via 26 dealerships that also act as local branches for the group's finance wing. Formed back in the year 2011 the finance wing had only about three staff members which has now grown to about 22 staff today. Renault and Dacia (subsidiary) has managed to sell about 4,688 cars and 2,438 cars respectively.
Unlike other car companies that offer other finance options, Renault has been using its in-house bank to lend finance. This allows them to know how much the car will be worth when it comes back for a trade-in through PCP (Personal Contract Plan) system. Speaking more on the occasion, Gaelle Humbert, Managing Director, Renault Finance said, “PCP is a good fit for the Dacia no-frills brand as it provides customers with a choice at the end of the finance agreement."
