The stylish Suzuki Ignis has made a grand debut in Japan with prices starting from Rs 8 lakh (1.382 million). A per fresh update on internet, sources have leaked specs for the India-bound variant ahead of it official unveiling during the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo Event in Delhi. The vehicle would be offered with two-wheel drive as standard. However, sources have also indicated on a possibility of a Suzuki’s AllGrip four-wheel-drive system also being offered.
Under the hood, across international markets the Suzuki Ignis gets 1.25-litre Dualjet petrol engine that would generate about 90bhp of power. The vehicle would also be offered with successful Suzuki’s SHVS mild hybrid technology and a 3bhp electric motor. While in India, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis may be offered in 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre diesel engine options. Apart from manual, Maruti Suzuki may also offer automatic transmission options.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 1,660mm in width, 3,700mm in length, 1,595 mm in height. The vehicle gets a wheelbase of 2,435 mm and boot space of 258-litres that is expandable to 415-litres. As for features, the vehicle gets Bluetooth audio system with USB compatibility and climate control system.
