International Cars & Motors Limited (ICML), the Indian-based Utility Vehicle (UV) maker, has showcased a new Multi UV in Hyderabad, Extreme. It is believed that the new model from the stables of ICML is re-badged version of Rhino MUV, which is considered as a good deal in some parts of India. With the launch of a new model, the company aims to efficiently square off against the refreshed model of Chevrolet Tavera and Mahindra's iconic MUV, Xylo.

Reportedly, the auto maker will offer its new model in two different diesel engine options, namely a Direct Injection mill and a CRD-Fi powertrain. It is speculated that the Direct Injection engine will have a potential to belt out the maximum power of 99 bhp with a peak torque of 240 Nm. On the other hand, the CRD-Fi engine is anticipated to churn out a peak power of 120 bhp, following with a maximum torque of 285 Nm. CRD-Fi engine is bound to deliver an optimum performance as it is a tried and tested on the famous Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 with good results.

In order to lure a large number of buyers, the car will come in four variants, namely LD Non-AC, LD AC, SD and VD. Following with the future plans of ICML, industry experts believe that the launch of a new model might help the auto maker to establish a strong foothold in the Indian auto industry. Besides, the launch of much hyped Haval 5 is also on the cards of the auto maker for the Indian market, which is also expected to emerge as a volume puller for the company.
