Having shown the China-spec 2017 Verna earlier this year, it’s time for Hyundai to focus on other prospective markets for this C-segment sedan. The brand is currently testing the fifth-gen model which will be sold as the Accent in several markets.

Unlike the current model, the new Accent might find its way back to Europe (where the model was sold until 2008). We say this because the prototype you see here was spotted undergoing testing in Spain.

Coming back to the China-spec Verna, the vehicle was unveiled at the Chengdu Motor Show earlier this year. Design wise, it continues to feature the coupe-like sloping roofline and a strong shoulder-line that extends to the boot. The 2017 Verna measures 4,380mm in length, 1,728mm in width and 1,460mm in height up from 4375mm, 1,700mm and 1,475mm respectively.

Hyundai India, meanwhile, will introduce the new Verna next year to improve their presence in the C-segment. The vehicle will be launched with prices ranging between Rs 7.5 and Rs 13 lakh depending on the trim level.
