      Hyundai introduces 'Online Service Website'; first auto maker to offer online services

      Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) became the first automotive company in India to offer its services on internet with its ‘Online Service Website’. The second largest car maker in the country and largest passenger car exporter officially announced its service website on 4th July 2012. This move from the company is dedicated to enhance its relationship with the valued customers. The all-purpose online service portal can be accessed by all the Hyundai vehicles owners. Company's corporate website hosts its micro-site.

      At the launch ceremony, Director, Sales and Marketing, HMIL, Arvind Saxena, said, “We feel proud to introduce first of its kind service which will bring value added services to its customers. Hyundai always illustrates the idea of providing more to its customers with new innovations, experiences and values beyond their expectations. This initiative will streamline and enhance the after sales services for our customers.”

      Services like service scheduler-reminder, on-line service booking, history - periodic service details, Service & insurance calculators and nearest service station locator, among other are offered on the micro-site. It also provides personalised information to the car owners, such as warranty guidelines, owner’s manuals, maintenance tips and guides. The micro-site also notifies promotional services with Value Added Services (VAS) like expertise recommendations, schemes benefits and the prices.

      Hyundai’s service website also provides safety driving tips and suggestions on improved driving habits to enhance the ownership experience. The Hyundai customers can visit the service website at http://customercare.hyundai.co.in

      Various bespoke services offered by the website encompass online service booking, which enable customers to book a servicing session for their car. Customers can also calculate the cost to be incurred in servicing, based on their periodic servicing schedule and a fixed servicing catalogue. Using the Hyundai Service Scheduler, customers can also set reminders for their service dates; they can enable or disable the service reminders of a selected date. The service website also allows customers to view their entire service history, including details like mileage, date of service, type of service, dealership name and bill amount.

      The new website launched by the car maker enables customer upgrade their knowledge of city specific labour charges and price of various VAS provided by HMIL. Customers who lost their copy of owner's manual can download the same from the website. It also enables the car owners to calculate insurance cost of their specific model and the value of insurance with No Claim Bonus (NCB), electrical add-ons and bi-fuel options as well. Through company’s new website, customers can also request for an extended warranty of their cars. The portal provides complete information related to the vehicle’s advantage, price, extended warranty, spare parts and emission warranty as well.

      By visiting the new website customers can add to their safety tips, which are advised to be followed in monsoons and winters. Using guides and manuals available for download, customers can enhance their knowledge on the methods on fuel saving. Owner guides has detailed significance of various parts, consumable required and replacement at regular intervals.

      Customers registered on the site will be notified of the various on-going camps and schedules by default so that they can benefit from the same. Besides these, with the Thru connect feature available on the website, customers can locate their nearest dealers with addresses. Hyundai also provides many Do-It-Yourself (DIY) tips on the micro-site to help the customers replace tyres, bulbs and fuse, among others by themselves. This unique initiative by HMIL is indeed a good step towards improving the customer’s experience and will surely boost the goodwill of car maker.
