Hyundai i10 revised in the international market

Korean automaker Hyundai has revealed the second-generation i10 hatchback in pictures for the international market. The new facelift model which has been designed, developed and produced in Europe will debut in production form at the Paris Motor Show 2016. The new generation model will continue to be powered by existing engine options, while upgrades will be in form of a new design and features in the new model.

As seen in pictures, the new Hyundai i10 will get a revised front in the form of a new bumper, cascading grille with new round LED daytime running lights at the edges. The sides sport new sleek well contoured designed with newly designed 14-inch steel or alloy wheel. The rear section gets new black inlay with round rear foglamps that mirrors the new front design. As for the interior, the new model gets a new shade of red cloth covering. Customers can also opt from either blue or black interior colour options on all trims.

Speaking about the upcoming model, Tony Whitehorn, President & CEO Hyundai Motor UK Ltd said, “New i10 showcases strong build quality and our passion for detail, while also including many features from the segments above. The impressive package has made the i10 one of the best-selling cars in its class and popular with customers across the UK - a success story that the new i10 is set to carry on.”

The new Hyundai i10 will continue with the 1.0-litre and 1.25-litre petrol engine options. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard and also gets four-speed automatic gearboxes as optional. As for features, the higher variant comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and LIVE Services in a single infotainment system in the higher variant. As for safety, it comes with Front Collision Warning System (FCWS) and an optional Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) along with regular safety features like airbags and ABS.

In India, Hyundai sells the Grand i10 as an upgraded version of the older i10. The vehicle offered more space and style than the older model. By next year, Hyundai India will introduce a facelift version which will get mild design upgrades while mechanically it will continue to be powered by existing petrol and diesel engine options.
