The Hyundai Elantra facelift has been spotted on test in a production ready form. The vehicle has been spotted on test with a fresh set of cosmetic and interior upgrades. Reports indicate that the facelift model might also be introduced with new powertrain options.

The test mule reveals the 2019 Elantra featuring an imposing cascading grille with chrome detailing which complement the new grille section. The front also sports a redesigned bumper with small air intakes and projector lights with integrated sequential LED DRLs. Apart from a new alloy wheel design, the sides look more or less same as the current generation model. The rear section has been updated with a large model name badging on the centre, below the Hyundai logo, while tail lamps have been redesigned for freshness.

Mechanically, the 2019 Hyundai Elantra will continue to be powered by 2.0-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel engine options, in manual and as well automatic transmissions. Reports indicate that internationally, it might be offered with a new SmartStream G1.6-litre petrol engine that generates 121bhp of power and 154Nm of torque. This time around the vehicle is also expected to be offered with a mild-hybrid technology.
