Korean auto giant Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), which is the second largest car manufacturer in the country declared that there will be a nominal price hike in all its models right from the entry-level hatchback Eon to SUV Santa Fe.
Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Vice President of National Sales and marketing at Hyundai Motor India Ltd., commented on the price hike, “The price increase has been necessitated by a variety of input costs. We have tried to minimize the price increase to cause less inconvenience to our valued customers.”
The price hike will come into effect from 1 November, 2012 and the maximum price increase will be Rs. 5000. Hyundai passenger cars have so far been reasonably priced and the price hike will positively not lay much of an impact on the buyers.
