The overwhelming response received for the new City sedan and its first diesel powered vehicle Amaze has made Honda take proactive steps before it launches its two new products in India, Mobilio and Jazz. Eyeing a rise in demand for its cars, Honda is working towards increasing its production capacity at its Tapukara plant. In order to achieve that HCIL is planning to commence second production shift at Tapukara plant by the end of current financial year. By then Jazz will also be launched which will be produced from Tapukara plant only. The Japanese auto maker aims at enhanced sales of around 2 lakh units, almost double of current sales in FY 2014-2015.
