Honda is planning to launch its electric concept car at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Show next month which is part of its brand building strategy of focusing on environmentally friendly cars run on alternative fuel energy. The new EV-N will be revealed in Tokyo which is mainly targeted towards city traffic drivers. According to sources, it has a short driving range and is powered by Li-ion battery pack.

The new Honda EN-V is a 3-door hatch, which is about the same size as the Smart Fortwo. The car has square looks which are quite similar to earlier Japanese cars. Its roof also has solar cells to generate electricity and the interiors are forward looking like removable seat inserts so that inside cabin looks can be changed.

The new car will be placed at the Tokyo Show within an exhibition area “HELLO” or Honda Electric Mobility Loop which will showcase all mobility products. Honda’s U3-X electric unicycle will also be revealed that is neatly placed in the passenger door.
