The Japanese carmaker has sold 117,322 in the period from April to November 2016 as compared to the 98,451 units it sold in the previous year. Comparing the monthly numbers year-on-year, Honda has registered a 47 per cent growth, selling 11,819 units in November 2017 as against the 8,029 units sold in November last year. But you also have to consider that in November 2016, Demonetisation has crippled the numbers.

Comparing Honda’s November 2017 performance with the previous months, the numbers are dwindling after the company sold close to 18,000 units monthly from July through September. With 14,000-odd units in October and 11,819 in November, Honda seems to have hit troubled times.

The decline is reflected in the sales of its forerunner, the Honda City, which has come down to 3,000-odd units last month from over 6,000 units in its heydays. With the WR-V also steadying its ship in the mid-3,000s, Honda needs its volume players, the Jazz and the Amaze to bring in the numbers.
