Japanese car company Honda is forerunner in the Pakistan auto industry which has grown rapidly in past thirty years. It launched its first two models Honda Civic and Honda Accord in the sedan segment when it first made its foray in the Pakistani auto market. Both the models caught the eye-balls of auto critics and car buyers equivocally. Honda models offered a level of style, design and comfort that were a far cry from all other car manufacturers in the Pakistani auto industry.
Both the models have now improved over past decades with their designs becoming classier and features growing more luxurious each update. Honda has also addressed demands of different consumer brackets maintaining its well established high end image and quality. Moreover, manufacturing its cars locally has kept its cars robust and with easier maintenance and repairs. It also launched the City, with a smaller engine capacity of 1300cc comparable to that of the lower end Corollas and began local manufacturing to better control pricing.
Models from Honda stable have remained pricier than its competitors like Suzuki, Toyota and Nissan, which are also quite popular locally. Still, in the premium segment of Pakistan, Honda seems to rule.
