      Honda CBR 250R facelift launched Indonesia, expected in India soon

      Japanese bike-maker's popular CBR 250R has recently been launched in the Indonesian market with fresh upgrades. This time around the bike has received some interesting cosmetic uplifts and technical upgrades. The dimensions have remained fairly the same as the previous version except for the wheelbase that has been increased to 1,378mm as against 1,367mm in the previous version. Moreover, the curb weight of the bike has been reduced to 164 kgs as against 167 kgs weight of the older existing bike. The new version also comes with an ABS option.

      The current version sold in Asian markets are powered by 249.6cc, 4-stroke petrol engine with DOHC. The single cylinder engine mated to a six speed gearbox is capable of producing about 25.35 Ps of max power with 23 Nm of torque. The newer version of CBR 250R has been tweaked to generate about 29.4PS of power at 9,000rpm with a torque figure of about 23Nm at 7,500rpm. The six speed gearbox has been retained in this new version as well.

      On the exterior front the bike has received dual headlamps and a redesigned sharper windscreen. The bike gets a chrome plated exhaust system to enhance its overall appeal. The standard version of Honda CBR 250R in the Indonesian market is priced at about Rs. 2.52 Lakhs, whereas the ABS version is stated to be priced at about Rs. 2.93 Lakhs. The newer version of the Honda CBR 250R is also expected to make it to the Indian markets sometime soon.
