Honda seems to have finally come to terms with the rising demand for diesel powered vehicles witnessed among the domestic car enthusiasts. Interestingly, most industry experts believe that Honda Amaze could become a game changing product for the Japanese car maker in India. The company is believed to be looking at bringing new diesel models for the domestic passenger car market.

The upcoming Honda Amaze is one of the most awaited new model launches for the 2013 calendar year in the country. The stunning entry level sedan is pegged to set new benchmarks in its segment, in terms of style quotient, engine performance and fuel efficiency, amongst other aspects. The Japanese auto maker is expected to introduce its Amaze within a price bracket of Rs. 5.5 to 6.5 lakh in the Indian auto market. Hence, an aggressive pricing coupled with modish looks have made the Honda Amaze an interesting new proposition for the domestic car buyers, upon its arrival in the country.

Following the launch of Amaze in April, Honda Cars India Limited is expected to introduce more diesel powered models in its fleet. The Japanese auto maker is believed to be working towards bringing diesel versions of its top selling products, such as Brio hatch and City mid-size sedan in the country soon. According to industry experts, if the Amaze entry level turns out to be game changer for Honda Cars India Limited, then work on the introduction of diesel variants of Brio and City would surely be accelerated in the country.
