Hike in fuel price compels Maruti Suzuki to offer goodies on petrol cars; discounts extended to two diesel cars too

With the constant hike in prices of petrol, the largest carmaker of the country, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), declared huge discounts worth up to Rs. 50,000 on its petrol cars. These discounts are not accessible on the entire petrol line-up of the company and are restricted to certain models only. The discounts offered by the company will help it to maintain petrol vehicle sales in the domestic auto market. Besides, the company is also introducing new plans to boost the sales of its hatchbacks in the country.

The company offers a discount of Rs. 19,000 on its Maruti 800, which has already been discontinued by the car maker. Next name on the list of discounts is Maruti Alto F8D, F8D CNG LXi and K10 models, which are offered with reductions ranging from Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 50,000. Following the league, the auto maker offers discount of Rs. 50,000 on its A-Star and Rs. 43,000-50,000 on WagonR Petrol, Duo and CNG.

Other than these models, the carmaker is also offering goodies worth Rs. 55,000 on Estilo petrol and its CNG variant and has slashed the price of Swift petrol by Rs. 15,000. All the versions of Maruti Omni are offered with a discount of Rs. 12,000. At the same time, petrol and CNG versions of Maruti Eeco are now offered with a deduction of Rs. 15,000 on their actual costs.

Apart from this, the petrol and diesel versions of Ritz are offered with discounts of Rs. 41,000 and Rs. 20,000, respectively. The same story is replicated with SX4 Petrol, CNG and Diesel models, which are now offered with an off of Rs. 70,000. Maruti Suzuki considers the entry level segment as a crucial platform and, thus, is moving ahead by meeting the demands of market.
