General Motors is the country's fifth largest passenger car maker and markets its products under the brand name of its subsidiary Chevrolet. The company managed decent sales with its Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Chevrolet Tavera in the Indian sector and will be aspiring that domestic audience receives the Enjoy MPV in a similar way. GMIPL pulled the wraps off Chevy Enjoy at the New Delhi Auto Expo held in January 2012, where the MPV became an instant hit among the domestic audience.

At present, the Indian MPV segment features several enticing and threatening rivals to the yet-to-be launched Chevrolet Enjoy. Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest passenger car maker, has stormed the Indian scene with its Ertiga MPV, which dethroned Toyota Innova as the market leader in the last few months. Further, the newly launched Nissan Evalia could pose some significant threat to the Chevy Enjoy, with its unique consumer oriented comfort and convenience attributes.

Coming to under the hood specifications, the upcoming Chevrolet Enjoy MPV is anticipated to be holding a 1,399 cc, 1.4 litre petrol engine, which could churn out a peak power close to 90 bhp along with 127 Nm. The engine assembly is further expected to come mated with a 5 speed manual transmission. Further, the Chevy Enjoy's diesel variant is expected to come assimilated with a 1.3 litre Multijet diesel motor, sourced from Fiat

The upcoming Chevrolet Enjoy boasts off a seven passenger seating capacity along with several top class interior and exterior attributes. The MPV is expected to come trimmed with standard safety features, such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) system, engine immobiliser and central locking amongst others.
