      Frankfurt Auto Show 2017: Volkswagen unveils T-Roc SUV

      After four years of development, Volkswagen has finally showcased the production version of the T-Roc at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. The vehicle will go up on sale internationally by the end of this year.

      Based on what can be seen, the Volkswagen T-Roc gets wide horizontally slatted grille with the sleek headlamps. The side profile is marked by flared wheel arches and large 17-inch alloy wheels which give it the required muscle. The T-Roc measures 4234mm in length length, 1819mm in wide and 1573mm tall and is 252mm shorter, 11mm wider and 131mm lower than the second-generation Tiguan.

      In petrol, the T-Roc gets a 113bhp producing 1.0-litre three-cylinder and Volkswagen’s newly introduced 148bhp, 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine. The vehicle also gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 187bhp. The diesels includes 113bhp producing, 1.6-litre four-cylinder and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, which develops either 148bhp or 187bhp.

      Inside, the T-Roc is all tech with VW’s version of the Audi virtual cockpit replacing the instrument cluster. It also gets a separate infotainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen display and other bells and whistles. The interior gets trendy body-coloured highlights in the upholstery as well.
