The powerful and stylish Audi A8 has always been a charmer. The currently sold third generation came with few cosmetic upgrades in 2013. This time around, test mule images of the fourth-generation Audi A8 have surfaced ahead of its expected debut next year in the international markets, while India launch might be in 2018.

The 2018 Audi A8 is built on the company’s MLB2 platform, with a slightly longer and fresh design upgrades. Though the upcoming A8 had been heavily camouflaged, the car seems to feature new sharper headlamps that compliments the large single-frame grille. The roofline gets a slightly lower design to give the car a sleeker and sportier feel. Though the test mule sported standard wheels for now, the production ready model might get sporty-looking alloys. The ORVMs are also sleeker than before. At the rear we expect to see a restyled LED taillight assembly and minor cosmetic tweaks.

Under the hood, it is anticipated that the 2018 Audi A8 might be powered by a 6.0-litre, W12 bi-turbo engine which might generate about 600bhp of power and 900Nm of peak torque. Inside, the 2018 Audi A8 is expected to get an MMI infotainment system with gesture control and OLED screen. The car will get premium upholstery and come loaded with all modern safety features as standard. More details about the vehicle might be known at a later date.
