Around forty cars are set to make their first appearance at the 44th edition of the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS). The auto show opened for public on 16th January at the Palais des congrès de Montréal and will go on till 22 January, 2012. The visitors will get an opportunity to witness around forty new cars that are being displayed for the very first time in Canada. The showroom floor will be crammed with hundreds of automobiles from dozens of auto manufacturers.

The show stealer is expected to be the Bugatti Veyron 2008, a car with 8 litre W16 cylinder engine which is capable of generating peak power of 1001 hp. The power generated from this car is something which is unbelievable; even ten Mazda2 can not match the power produced by one Bugatti Veyron. The car priced at $2.2 million can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in mere 2.7 seconds. In just 14 seconds, it can reach up to the mark of 300 kmph.

The spectators can also see the latest cruiser in their portfolio, a ghost car which will have white reflective decals on white paint. One more that will capture attention of visitors at the show will be 2012 BMW 3 Series. These were designed under the care and supervision of Karim Habib who was an ex- Montrealer. Additionally, the North American premier of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz B-Class will be present at the show.

The show will also see the North American premier of Nissan NV3500 HD passenger van, which can easily accommodate a whole soccer team. Other vehicles to watch out at the show are a two-door coupe, Subaru BRZ, Fiat 500 Abarth, Hyundai Veloster Turbo, 2013 Acura RDX and Ferrari FF.

Like every year, this time also there are special attractions, like the Légendes de la route. It is an exhibition which will feature eight vehicles that narrate the story about the evolution of several iconic vehicles of all times.
