      Ford will Launch Eight New Models in the Price Range of Figo

      Touching the zenith of success, Ford Figo embraced the honour of being Indian Car of the Year 2011 and the runner up in South African Car of the Year 2011. The Ford Figo Hatchback excelled in the arena of automaker in the Indian market, with the sales crossing 100,000 units since its launch. The Figo has been rewarded by more than 20 Indian auto industry awards, which is a record in the Indian automotive history. “Due to continued strong sales of the Figo, the last months have been very successful in this hugely competitive market. We are extremely proud to have crossed the 100,000 sales milestone”, said Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director of Ford India.

      Mr. Boneham has also affirmed that most of the Figo's customers are first timers, which shows that the mob is attracted towards luxury cars. Not only Ford Figo, but many other Ford models like Ford Fiesta, Ford Endeavour and Ford Ikon, among others, fetched much appraisal and hit the market. Ford Figo possesses a diesel powered vehicle priced around Rs. 4.5 to 5.5 lacs. Enough space and a more hunk car, Figo is superb for those who care both for value of money and the drive-comfort. Despite the hike in fuel prices, Figo and Fiesta Classic cars remained in high demand only because of their economical fuel diesel variants.

      In the past few years, the sales of smaller cars witnessed great ascend, which is around 70% of the total sales. Taking keen eye on this hike in the sale of smaller cars, Ford Asia is prompt to launch smaller cars not only in the Indian Market, but other Asian countries too. Ford Asia Pacific and Africa President Joe Hinrichs expresses the idea that though the decision of producing smaller cars will decrease the profit of the company per car, yet the company will be able to keep its profit scale upwards as lesser cost will increase the demand.

      Ford India is known for its distinguished excellent-to-drive cars, but allegedly charged for being expensive to maintain cars. In its defence, Ford India is coming forward to prove its capability of producing economically modest cars and refresh its impression. In order to achieve this, Ford is supposed to launch eight new models which will be in Ford Figo's price range of Rs 3.69 to 5.57 lacs. Ford’s APA President Joe Hinrichs approves, Most of our eight products planned for launch by mid-decade would be in the Figo’s range as seventy per cent of car sales in India come from the small car segment.

      Ford India has recently launched its all new Ford Fiesta Sedan and further anticipates the launch of seven more products by the middle of this decade, for the Indian Market. All the seven products are informed to be in the price range of Ford Figo. The Ford Focus Sedan and the Ford Mondeo are believed to be the best options for the Indian Market. Besides, Ford India is also speculating of changing its headquarters from Chennai to New Delhi and set up its second plant in Gujarat. Let’s see, what's special Ford has for Indian customers.
