Expressing his delight at the launch of the new Figo, Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director (MD), FIPL, said, “We thank our customers for making the Figo so successful within such a short span and believe the new Figo will take their brand experience to a new level.”

The revamped Ford Figo comes trimmed with a number of exciting additions and physical attributes, which entails the car with a new kind of exuberance and fun quotient. For starters, the new improvised front fascia looks great and features an eye catching hexagonal grille, besides the impressive headlamps underlining the car's dynamism. FIPL has added 14 inch alloy wheels to the Titanium model of the Ford Figo that redefines the car's sporty outlook and build. The new bumpers and the refreshed tail lamps are an added plus as they highlight the muscular attributes provided on the new Figo by Ford India.

Coming to the engine specifications, the revamped Ford Figo comes with a recalibrated power-mill, which delivers an improved acceleration and pick up. Further, the drivetrain features revised transmission that ensures hassle free and smooth gear shifts that require lesser effort than the previous model.

The interior cabin space is the area where the reworked Ford Figo hatch scores the maximum points. The American car maker has used Double Bulb weather strips on the doors, which significantly reduces the noise, vibration, and harshness levels (NVH) inside the interior cabin thereby, making it peacefully quieter than most of the other cars in the segment. Further, for alluring the music buffs who love to listen to their favourite music on the go, FIPL has installed steering mounted audio controls. Among the other enticing attributes of the facelifted Ford Figo, is its highly comfortable seats coupled with an improved lumbar support and head rest adjustment.

Recently, the sales of previous variant of the Ford Figo became the company's first ever mass puller and some 2,34,000 units of the car were sold in the country. Within just two years of its launch, the Ford Figo stormed its way into the hearts of Indian car enthusiasts and FIPL will surely be hoping to repeat the same feat with the car's new revamped model. The small car segment is on an upswing and accordingly, the American auto maker is aspiring to consolidate its position as the sixth largest car maker in the country. Evidently, FIPL will be looking to pip its fellow automotive player Chevrolet from the fifth spot, with the new car. The facelifted Figo will be pitched in a direct tussle against the likes of Nissan Micra, Renault Pulse, Hyundai i20 and Etios Liva in the Indian passenger car market and an exciting contest is in the offing.
