Ford’s facelifted Fiesta sedan is expected to be launched next month in the domestic market. It has been learnt from the sources close to development that Ford could bring the diesel model only and petrol model will follow the suit. The sedan has been spotted number of times around the country being tested which implies that the launch is likely to be around the corner. Since the launch has been re-scheduled to an earlier date, therefore the auto maker might have planned of rolling out the diesel powered Fiesta first. New Fiesta will be flaunting an array of cosmetic tweaks, the engine set up will most likely remain unchanged.

Presence of a trapezoidal grille in the front renders new Fiesta sedan a sporty semblance. Head lights and tail lights have been modified a tad, the front bonnet has also been revised making the sedan look robust.

Inside the cabin, presence of Appl inksync connectivity system enables the driver to control mobile applications and change songs through voice commands.

Under the hood, a 1.5 litre diesel power train yielding a maximum power output of 90 PS will be housed in Fiesta diesel. Diesel variants are likely to be mated to a five speed manual gearbox only.

Petrol model will be spun off later and is expected to be equipped with the 1.5 litre, 108 PS engine. Petrol trims could also be offered with a six-speed automatic gearbox along with the five-speed manualtranny. Pricing details will be unwrapped during the launch, however we expect the sedan to carry an affordable price tag as despite being a good product wrong pricing worked against it and it did not have many takers.
