The EcoSport compact SUV has been Ford's top selling product in the Indian car market ever since its launch. Rolled out in 2013, the compact SUV has managed to clock over 4,000 sales per month consistently. The company has already managed to sell over 1 lakh units of the EcoSport if its domestic and export sales are put together. Now, the sub-4 metre SUV is on sale in Canteen Stores Department (CSD) and Central Police Canteen in the Indian market.

Ford India now sells almost all of its cars, save for the Fiesta, including Classic, Figo and Endeavour through CSD stores to serve personnel and ex-servicemen. Adding to it, the company is also offering exclusive benefits to servicemen. Ford India is currently providing priority delivery subject to variant availability and other benefits under CSD and CPC for servicemen.

The Ford EcoSport compact SUV is available in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The oil burner is the 1.5-litre TDCi engine that produces 89bhp and 204Nm of top torque. Its gasoline version is propelled by a 1.0-litre EcoBoost and 1.5-litre Ti-VCT engine, capable of churning out 123bhp & 170Nm, and 109bhp & 140Nm of peak torque, respectively.

Like we have already reported several times, Ford is also working on the new-gen Ford Figo and Ford Figo based compact sedan for India, which are expected to be launched sometime next year. In fact, the company has brought both of these cars to India for R&D purpose.
