      Fiat opens exquisite dealership in South Mumbai, exhibits Aventura and Abarth

      Fiat India has inaugurated its standalone dealership in South Mumbai, the exquisite dealership is located at the Prabhadevi, Esskay Motors. Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director of Fiat Chrysler India Operations inaugurated the South Mumbai dealership.With a display area of 8,500 sq ft, three cars can be exhibited at the showroom. Fiat is working aggressively towards expanding its footprint in India, the company eyes launching numerous standalone showrooms across India.

      Upcoming cars from the Italian car maker’s stable like Aventurra and the new Abarth 500 have also been exhibited at the South Mumbai showroom along with new Linea which is already available for sale in India. Aventurra and Abarth are likely to make their way into the domestic market in the second half of 2014. Fiat Aventurra is conceived on Punto, the vehicle gets a tailgate mounted spare wheel, a reworked body shell imparting a craggy look and plastic cladding covering the body of the vehicle.

      With Abarth 500, Fiat will induct its high-performance co-brand, Abarth in the Indian auto market. Abarth is known to tune petite hatchbacks built by Fiat. Abarth 500 will be bestowed with a 1.4 litre turbocharged powertrain pumping out maximum power of 160 Bhp. A string of superior features are likely to be equipped inside the hatchback, these include a sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels, sports seats, 7 airbags, twin exhaust outlets, ABD, EBD and a few others.

      With Aventura and Abarth soon making their debut in the Indian car market, Fiat is sure to get an edge in the premium car segment. The Italian car maker also has high hopes from the two new products. Owing to the lukewarm response for its cars in India Fiat has not only given tweaks to its present line-up, but it working towards bringing in products that it expects will strike a chord with the customers in India.
