After a long gap Fiat has come up with a new product for Indian customers. The company launched new Fiat Aventura crossover at an event ceremony organized in the capital of India, New Delhi. The Punto Evo based crossover made its global debut today in India, priced at Rs 5.99 lakh for the base petrol model. Avventura range comprises of two petrol and three diesel variants and features the same powertrains as equipped in Punto Evo.
As for the dimensions of Avventura, it measures 3989 mm long, 1706 mm wide, 1542 mm high and possesses 2510 mm of wheelbase. Dimensions have been increased a tad as compared to Punto Evo.
Few cosmetic modifications have been made to make the vehicle look visually different from Punto Evo. Ground clearance has also been increased to 205 mm, on the outside the crossover gets 205/55 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, features such as a soft-touched dashboard, an inclinometer and compass are included. On the other hand the layout and design of the cabin is similar to Punto Evo.
Petrol trims get power from the 1.4 litre, FIRE petrol mill good for 88.73 Bhp of top power at 6000 RPM and 115 Nm of peak torque at 4500 RPM. Diesel range houses Fiat’s renowned 1.3 litre, Multi-jet diesel motor that generates maximum power output of 91.6 Bhp at 4000 RPM and 209 Nm of pinnacle torque at 2000 RPM. According to tests conducted by ARAI, Avventura petrol is capable of delivering 14.4 kmpl of fuel economy and diesel powered Avventura is claimed to run up to 20.5 kmpl. A five-speed manual transmission has been paired with both the engines transmitting power to the front wheels. The vehicle will take on the likes of Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross in its segment.
