The latest teaser on Avventura crossover released by Fiat states, “Thrive on Discovery and Thrill.” Going by quotes by Fiat officials at the Punto Evo launch, the Avventura Crossover may be launched in first week of October. The car is expected to be loaded with rich and vibrant features apart from ample legroom and headroom that has been a known quality in cars from the Italian carmaker.
It is anticipated that production version of Fiat Avventura shall be powered by 1.4 Litre FIRE Petrol engine. As for diesel, the car may be powered by 1.3-litre multi-jet engine that generates power of about 90 bhp of power with 200 Nm of peak torque. Apart from regular manual version, the crossover is also expected to be launched with an automatic transmission. The newer version shall feature “multi-purpose” roof rails to spice up its style quotient.
The upcoming Avventura crossover is believed to be based on Punto hatchbacks platform and shall include special features like front projector head lamps, spare wheel on the exterior, plastic body claddings and skid guards. It is also likely that the crossover will offer an increased ground clearance as compared to Punto hatchback. Inside the cabin, one can expect contrast stitching and roll-and-tilt gauges. The alloys have received interesting shades of Grey-silver colour. The crossover has also received a good amount of ground clearance to enable easy roll over tricky Indian roads.
Apart from the Avventura launch, it is also believed that Fiat may usher-in the stylish and powerful Abarth sometime soon. For now pricing aspect of Fiat Avventura is unknown, but we anticipate it to be priced in the 6 – 8 Lakhs segment. Post launch, Fiat Avventura is likely to be a strong contender against Toyota's Etios Cross.
