Factors that make Anniversary Edition of Honda Amaze a good buy this year

The Amaze sub-four meter sedan from Japanese car-maker Honda has been quite popular in the automobile market since it launch in the country a while ago. Based on sales reports, the popular sedan has sold over 80,000 units in just under a year of its launch. To mark this notable milestone of success, the Japanese car-maker has come up an 'Anniversary Edition' to mark this special feat. During the launch of the 'Anniversary Edition' of Amaze, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd said, “Honda Amaze has been a game changer in its segment and has enabled HCIL to reach out to so many new customers, bringing them into the Honda fold. We are delighted to introduce the new ‘Anniversary edition’ amongst customers to celebrate its success. It is Honda’s constant endeavor to provide freshness to our products and create excitement in the market. We are confident that the differentiated and youthful look of the car will have greater appeal to our customers.” The new Anniversary Edition of Amaze sedan is available in VX and S trims in both Petrol as well as Diesel engine options.

The new variants from the 'Anniversary edition' shall be available for just about an additional cost of Rs. 71,861 over the existing version. For this additional price, the sedan shall sport some cosmetic upgrades like front under-spoiler, side under-spoiler, rear under-spoiler, trunk spoiler along with door visors and exhaust pipe finisher on the exteriors front. Whereas, for the interiors, the sedan shall be blessed with new upmarket upholstery that perfectly complements the wooden finish panel on the dashboard. Moreover, the ‘Anniversary edition’ emblem lends that distinctive identity to the this new special edition sedan.

The Amaze sedan from Honda in a Petrol version is powered by 1.2 litre i-VTEC engine that generates a maximum power output of about 88 Ps at 6,000 RPM and 109 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. The Diesel version is powered by 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine that generates about 100 Ps of power at 3600 Rpm and 200 Nm of torque output. As per ARAI certification, the diesel version delivers about 25.8 kmpl.
