      Essential details of Auto Expo 2014

      In the past few months, a lot of buzz has been generated around the Auto Expo 2014, which is scheduled to be held in Greater Noida and Pragati Maidan from 6th to 11th February, 2014. The event is expected to be much more bigger and better as compared to the earlier motor shows. With the exhibition space already being sold out, the event will mark the presence of major auto makers from different parts of the world. In the list of new entrants that will seen setting up their stalls for the first time include Chrysler, DSK Hyosung, Datsun and Isuzu.

      The upcoming motor show has been organised at two places namely Greater Noida and Pragati Maidan in order to avoid the huge rush of crowd that gathered at Pragati Maidan. So, the Auto Expo 2014 will be held at two places this year with Pragati Maidan venue to be used for components show while the Greater Noida will play host to the motor show. As far as the dates of the motor show are concerned, it will be held from from 5th to 11th February, while the proceedings of component show will start from 6th to 9th February.

      For reaching Pragati Maidan, it is advisable to travel through Delhi Metro as it is the fastest means for reaching the place. Visitors can also opt for taxis and auto rickshaws to reach the venue, which are easily available throughout the city. While the other venue, Greater Noida is approximately 48 km far from Indira Gandhi International Airport. Furthermore, it takes just 50 minutes to reach Greater Noida from the Pragati Maidan and in order to ply between both these venues, it is recommended to travel through buses.

      As the motors show is expected to draw a large crowd, the Greater Noida venue can deal with 75000 persons at single time. It must be noted that the entry timings will vary according to the type of participants. The different categories of the visitors comprise general public, exhibitors/media persons and VIPs. On the first day of motor show, only media persons will have access to the motor show while for the general public the venue will be opened from 6th February. During the week days, the time from 10 am to 1 pm shall be reserved as business hours intended for VIPs.
