Ducati has introduced the most anticipated motorcycle, the SuperSport in India today. Priced at Rs 12.08 lakhs (ex-showroom), the company is expecting this bike to become one of their highest sellers.

The Italian manufacturer has also introduced the SuperSport S model at Rs 13.39 (ex-showroom). The S model is better equipped with Ohlins suspension setup, gets Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), pillion seat cover and is available in white paint scheme priced at 13.60 lakhs. Ducati is marketing the SuperSport as an everyday and practical sports bike. So the seating triangle has been designed for a relaxed riding stance. The Italian maker claims that the SuperSport is a good touring machine too. With 16-litres of fuel tank capacity and panniers option, the riders will be able to munch miles with ease and comfort.

The SuperSport gets its power from the 937cc Testastretta L-Twin motor. This mill is also seen in the famous Hyperstrada family. It delivers 113bhp and 93Nm of peak torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Just like the rest of the Ducatis, this sportsbike has been equipped with electronic packages. It gets the Ducati Safety pack, Bosch ABS with three-level and traction control. It also gets riding modes which can be changed on the fly.  The SuperSport gets Marzocchi front forks and a Sachs monoshock whereas the SuperSport S is loaded with Ohlins setup.

The deliveries of the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 rival will begin from today. The SuperSport is being offered with just one paint scheme, red, whereas the SuperSport S gets two colour options, red and white.
