Amidst all the competition in the hatchback and sedan segment from international and local car-makers, Chevrolet intends on making a sweet spot for itself with the limited version of Sail sedan and U-VA hatchback. Both the cars have been recently unveiled in the Indian market. Speaking more on the occasion, Rajesh Singh, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and After Sales, General Motors India, said, “The stylish Chevrolet Sail Hatchback and Sedan have been appreciated by our customers for great space, ride quality and safety. By offering bold new feature additions at no additional cost, we are confident that the two car-lines will be even more appreciated by our esteemed customers.”
Both the cars are available in petrol and diesel fuel types. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2 Liter engine delivers a decent mileage of 18.2 kmpl, whereas the diesel version is powered by a 1.3 Liter engine that returns an impressive 22.1 kmpl. As per sources within the company, “The Limited Editions of the Chevrolet Sail Hatchback and Sedan sport stylish new features like side body graphics, reverse parking sensors, outside rear view mirrors with blinkers, illuminated sill plates, steering wheel cover, limited edition seat covers, carpet mats and pillows, chrome embellishments on boot lid and limited edition badging worth up to Rs. 15,600.”
The American car-maker in recent times has been struggling to meet with sales number for the Sail variants, and it is anticipated that the limited version line can rake up business for the car-maker. The Sail limited edition U-VA hatchback is priced between Rs 4.21 Lakh – 6.54 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi), while the Sail limited edition sedan is priced between Rs 5.07 Lakh to Rs 7.45 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The cars sporting a fresh look, efficient engine and a quality build, expects to gain a strong footing in the Indian market.
