      BMW rolls-out X3 compact SUV in India

      BMW has launched its much awaited X3 Sports utility vehicle in the Indian market on Friday. Rolled-out in both petrol and diesel versions, the new BMW X3 has been priced in the range of Rs 41.2 to 47.9 lakh. The car was launched in a ceremony held at Bavaria Motors showroom in Pune, where it was unveiled by Dr. Andreas Schaaf. While the petrol version X-Drive20d has been offered at Rs 41.2 lakh, the diesel version X-Drive30d is available at Rs 47.9 lakhs.

      The major rival of the all new BMW X3 in the Indian market will be the Audi Q5, which was recently launched in a business edition in the country at Rs. 35.13 lakh.

      In a bid to make it highly competitive in its segment, the company has offered the X3 model with a range of new age style, comfort, convenience and safety features including 6-Airbags, Parking Sensors, Fog Lamp, Traction Control, EBD, ABS, Body Color Bumpers, Tachometer, Alloys, multiple Trip Meter, A/C with Dual Zone Climate Control, Power Windows, Remote Central Locking, Dash Integrated Music System, Leather Seats and many more.

      The diesel version of the car is offered in two diesel engine variants including xDrive20d and xDrive30d. While the 20d model delivers a peak power of 184 bhp with 350 Nm of torque, the 30d model delivers a maximum output of 258 bhp with peak torque of 560 Nm. On the other hand, the petrol version is powered by 1995cc, i-4, engine that delivers max power of 177Bhp @ 4000rpm with max torque of 357Nm @ 1600rpm.
