      BMW Motorrad officially launches 11 bikes in India

      After waiting for many years, BMW Motorrad has finally entered the Indian market officially. The company entered one of the fastest-growing premium bike markets in the world with 11 bikes.

      The most affordable BMW bike in India is the R 1200 R which is priced at Rs 14.9 lakh. There are two more versions of the R 1200R – Exclusive at Rs 15.40 lakh and Style at Rs 15.50 lakh. The German manufacturer’s highest-selling bike – the R 1200 GS gets a starting price of Rs 15.90 lakh and goes all the way till Rs 19.50 lakh for the top-spec pro variant. The R 1200 GS’ eldest sibling – the R 1200 GS Adventure costs Rs 17.50 lakh for the base version and Rs 21.40 lakh for the top of the line pro version.

      Just like the other bikes, BMW has priced its modern retro version well too. The R Nine T costs Rs 17.90 lakh, whereas the R Nine T Scrambler is more affordable at 15.90 lakh. BMW’s iconic S1000RR is retailing at Rs 18.90 lakh and that’s for the base version. The top spec S1000RR will set you back by Rs 21.40 lakh. Its naked version – the S1000R – gets a price tag between Rs 16.90 lakh and Rs 18.90 lakh. The sports touring S1000XR can be yours for Rs 18.50 lakh for the standard version and 21.50 lakh for the pro model. BMW’s most expensive model is the K 1600 GTL which costs a whopping Rs 25.90 lakh for the standard variant and Rs 28.50 lakh for the pro version. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

      The bookings for all the BMW bikes has begun. The dealerships will be opened shortly in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Ahmedabad. BMW will be importing all its bikes through the completely-built-up(CBU) route. Its only made-in-India bike – the G310R – will be launched in the next few months.
