Ian Robertson, the Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, which is responsible for the Sales and Marketing team of BMW, said, “I am delighted that we achieved our target of selling more than two million vehicles in 2014, a new record for the BMW Group. We have seen good growth throughout the year, well spread across all major sales regions. Our new models such as the BMW X4 and BMW 2 Series Active Tourer demonstrate our ability to develop new vehicles which attract new customers to the brand. The popularity of the BMW i3 and BMW i8 shows our game-changing ‘born electric’ strategy is on track. We are now looking forward to building on these successes in 2015.”

Incidentally, 2014 was the best till date for BMW with near 1811719 deliveries, when the manufacturer witnessed a growth of nearly 9.5 per cent hike in the previous year. There was a change in the core model of MINI this year, where the brand’s annual sales depicted a slight decrease. The total number of MINI’s sold to customers were 302183 MINI models in the last year. The luxury car manufacturer, Rolls-Royce showed record sales for a fifth time in tandem with 4063 units marketed globally.
