Speaking more on the occasion, Mr. Sawant added, “We have been working on the idea after I saw the service in London. It is very useful in the city like Mumbai where ambulances take time to reach to the patient due to traffic woes. The intention is to reduce golden hours to golden minutes so that patients can be saved. The bike ambulance will have basic medical facilities and a technician, who will give immediate medical support to the victim.”

Adding further, Mr. Deepak Sawant said, “The service will have basic medical facilities to provide immediate help to the victims or patients. The bike will carry a medical box with medicines required in emergency situations. The technicians will be given three-months training to handle the situation till the main ambulance or doctor arrives.” Currently, 108 has been the emergency service numbers serving the affected. However, the new bike ambulance is expected to reach out the affected faster and better than the 108 helpline.
