Heavy traffic on roads has only got worse by each passing day. In the international market, automakers named Terrafugia and AeroMobil has been working on flying cars that are almost in last league of development. AK Vishwanath, 56 year old engineer from Bangalore has been working on the future of automobiles, a flying car. If successful, this would mean that you no longer need to bear with hours of traffic snarl when you drive to and fro from work.

The flying cars from Aeromobil and Terrafugia are reportedly based on bird’s flight design that has been the concept for Wright brothers. AK Vishwanath may also use similar concept but using the insect paradigm. Insects use the air principle in a different way. The airflow pattern followed by insects creates a flutter and use the air in a unique way. Speaking more on the development, Vishwanath, a graduate in electrical engineering from the BMS College of Engineering, said, “We have to rescience the technology and create a platform which we can milk for the next century. I don't know about failure. But the goal is to bring flight to common man and herald personal aviation.”

In the international market “AeroMobil 3.0” by Slovakia Aeromobil id due to be showcased at the Pioneers Festival that is due to be held on October 29th, 2014. Speaking more on the development aspect of the flying vehicle the company said, “In terms of automobile configuration, it fits to a standard parking space, its engine enables it to tank at any gas station, it is fully accustomed to road traffic and as a plane it could both take off and land at any airport in the world.”

Indian electrical engineer AK Vishwanath claims to recreate airflows of over 20 insect species that is capable of allowing an object to cruise, hover, stall and as well take off. Little winglets have been attached along the sides of the car that allows airflow to lift the car to about 3-4 feet. He has invested about 10 years for the research and development of this flying car which is ready to be showcase at the Aero India 2015 that is due to be held in February in Bangalore. Reportedly, Vishwanath is on the lookout for funds amounting to the tune of Rs 5.5-6 crore from Angel investors.
