Bajaj Auto has plans to launch four new products in this financial year itself, of these three are models of Avenger. The Avenger will coming in Street 220, Chrome 220 and Avenger 150. The 220 range will be launched on 27th October, while the 150 is slated for a launch at a latter stage. The Avenger range of bikes from Bajaj will be the new range of cruiser on offer.
These bikes will form the leisure range of bikes that the company will have on offer. The Bajaj cruiser will be priced under Rs 90 thousand for the 220cc engine and the 150cc will be more affordable. The Bajaj Avenger 150 will be powered by the 150cc engine that powers the Pulsar 150 AS. The 220cc engine on the Avenger will be retained and it will also get two new variants.
The fourth bike will be an all new bike that will be a commuter bike. In an interview with PTI, Bajaj Auto President (Business Development & Assurance) S Ravikumar told, “In the short term, we are looking at increasing our market share in the domestic motorcycle segment to over 22 per cent from the current 19 per cent.”
He further added, “Besides, in the fourth quarter of this fiscal, we will launch a completely new model that will be in the midsegment of the motorcycle market. Even the festive season is not seeing anything great.” Bajaj has already launched six models this year and it has four more in the pipeline.
